As someone more comfortable with instructional technology than most, I admit a bias toward its effectiveness. Yet it’s easy to get caught up in the hype espoused by many bloggers that technology can replace the traditional instructor led class. On the other hand, I’ve heard traditionalists doubt that e-learning technology can ever match the benefits of the ILT environment.
Can the two work together? Is blended learning possible with “soft skill” material. I found Dean Hawkinson’s article on eLearning for Leadership Training on the Integrated Learning blog a sane and sensible rationale for when and how to use technology that supports learning. What do you think?
