Research Shows Benefits of Employee Engagement

I sometimes wonder if some of my long held beliefs about learning are evidence based or just long held beliefs. I read recently for example that there is no evidence that teaching to learning styles actually improves learning. The entire idea of learning styles was under attack. Yet it is a widely held belief among most instructors.

Well, my current question revolves around effective management. Why do great managers matter? How necessary is it to have an engaged workforce? I found some useful information out of a recent research project involving federal agencies.

Agencies in the federal sector who have high employee engagement have higher productivity, reduced absenteeism and greater customer satisfaction. It’s definitely fuel in a change management case with skeptical stakeholders.
